How Often Should I Replace Tires?

On average, tires last 35,000 to 45,000 miles. As the tires wear out, braking, traction control and handling performance diminish. If you are not sure whether you need new tires, stop by and let us check your tires. Alternatively, you can do a quick penny test. Take a penny, flip it so that Lincoln is facing you and his head is facing down, push it into the tire tread at the thinnest area, and if you can still see Abe’s head you might need new tires. All tires also have wear indicators inside the tread that look like a little bump. If the wear indicator is close to or almost level with the outer tire surface, it’s time for new tires.

Tires

Your tires are the only point of contact between your vehicle and the road. Proper tire tread is essential for maintaining control, especially in challenging conditions like rain, snow, or even just loose gravel
